Why Tajweed Matters in Quran Reading
Avoid Common Mistakes
Without Tajweed, it is easy to shorten, stretch, or mix sounds in ways that change how the Quran is recited. Learning the rules helps children in Spain reduce these mistakes and read more accurately.
Correct Letter Articulation
Tajweed teaches where each Arabic letter is produced in the mouth and throat. This helps students separate similar sounds and read with clearer, stronger pronunciation.
Apply Rules Consistently
Through guided practice, students learn to apply rules the same way every time they meet them in the Quran, instead of guessing or reading differently on each page.
What Is Covered in Our Tajweed Course
The course is organised so that students in Spain learn one group of rules at a time and use them directly in Quran reading.
- • Makharij – understanding where letters come from in the mouth and throat to improve pronunciation.
- • Noon Sakinah & Tanween – learning when to show, merge, hide, or change sounds correctly while reading.
- • Meem Sakinah – applying clear rules for Meem with lips-based sounds that appear often in the Quran.
- • Madd rules – knowing when to extend sounds and for how long, so recitation follows the correct measure.
- • Practical application – reading from selected surahs where these rules appear repeatedly, so students use them in real recitation.
How Tajweed Classes Are Conducted Online
Live Correction
During each class, the tutor listens as your child recites and corrects mistakes straight away, explaining what needs to change and why.
Reading Practice
Students read from selected surahs again and again until rules feel natural, not forced. Short passages are practised carefully instead of rushing many pages.
Gradual Rule Implementation
New Tajweed rules are added step by step. Once a student is comfortable with a rule, we combine it with earlier rules so they can use several together while reading.

FAQs About Tajweed Classes in Spain
Is Tajweed required for beginners?
Complete beginners should first learn Arabic letters and simple words in a Qaida course. Once a child in Spain can read basic lines from the Quran, Tajweed becomes very helpful, because it improves pronunciation and teaches how to handle common patterns correctly.
How many classes per week are ideal?
For most students, 2–3 Tajweed classes per week work well, especially when they also read a little at home between lessons. More frequent classes may suit older students who want faster progress or need extra help with pronunciation.
Can adults join Tajweed classes in Spain?
Yes. Adults living in Spain who can read Arabic and want to improve their recitation are welcome to join. Tutors adjust the pace, examples, and homework to suit adult learners and their schedules.
Do students need prior memorization?
Prior memorisation is not required. Tajweed can be learned with short surahs and selected passages. If a student has already memorised some surahs, we use them in class so they can review and improve their recitation at the same time.
