Why Qaida Is Important Before Quran Reading
Letter Recognition
Qaida teaches children to recognise every Arabic letter in different shapes. This makes it easier to spot letters quickly when they later read full Quran pages.
Proper Pronunciation
Students learn how each letter should sound, with attention to similar letters that are easy to mix up. This early practice reduces long-term mistakes in Quran reading.
Harakat and Joining
Through Qaida, children learn short vowels, sukoon, and simple joining patterns. This prepares them to read real Quran words smoothly instead of guessing sounds.
What Your Child Will Learn in This Qaida Course
The course follows a simple sequence so beginners in Spain move from letters to full words without feeling rushed.

- • Short vowels – understanding how small marks change the sound of letters.
- • Joining letters – reading simple joined words with clear, steady practice.
- • Basic reading practice – reading short lines from Qaida and simple Quranic words with tutor support.

FAQs About Qaida Classes in Spain
At what age should a child start Qaida?
Many children in Spain start Qaida around ages 4 to 6, depending on attention span and readiness. In the trial lesson, the tutor checks whether your child can sit for a short online class, listen to instructions, and repeat sounds. Based on this, we suggest when and how to begin.
How long does Qaida usually take?
The time needed depends on the child’s age, focus, and weekly class frequency. With 2–3 classes per week and some practice at home, many students complete Qaida in several months. Some may need longer, and that is completely fine — our main aim is clear, accurate reading, not rushing.
Do parents need to assist during classes?
For younger children, it helps if a parent is nearby at the start to help with logging in, mute/unmute, and keeping the child seated. Once the child becomes used to the tutor and routine, many can attend with less direct help, but parents still support daily practice at home.
Is previous knowledge of Arabic required?
No previous Arabic learning is needed. This Qaida course starts from the alphabet and simple sounds. If your child already knows a few letters, we review them first and then move ahead at a speed that suits their level.
