Our Approach to Quran Memorization
Step-by-Step Memorization
Children memorize small, manageable portions each day. Tutors break longer surahs into clear sections so kids in Spain feel progress without feeling overwhelmed.
Balanced New Lesson & Revision
Each class combines new memorization with revision of previous portions. This balance keeps new learning moving while protecting older memorization from fading.
Monitoring Retention
Tutors regularly test older parts without looking to see how well children remember them. If certain sections are weak, we slow down new memorization and strengthen revision.
What the Hifz Program Includes
Our Hifz program follows a simple structure so parents in Spain know what happens in each stage of their child's memorization.
- • New memorization portion – a small set of verses for the day, read and repeated with the tutor until the child can recite alone.
- • Previous lesson revision – quick review of the last few lessons to check that recent portions are still strong.
- • Weekly review – a longer revision of older sections once or twice a week to keep earlier memorization fresh.
- • Parent updates – simple notes on what was memorized, which areas need more home practice, and how your child is progressing overall.
Suitable for Families Living in Spain
The Hifz course is open to families in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza, Malaga, and smaller Spanish towns. All teaching is online, so children can join from home without travelling to a centre.
Class times are planned around Spain school hours and family routines, with afternoon, evening, and weekend options. This helps children attend regularly and stay consistent with their memorization.

FAQs About Hifz Classes in Spain
How long does memorization take?
The time needed for Hifz varies from child to child. Some students in Spain focus on selected surahs or Juz Amma, which can take months, while full-time Hifz for larger portions takes longer. Progress depends on age, focus, class frequency, and how much revision happens at home between lessons.
What age is ideal for Hifz?
Many children start focused memorization between ages 7 and 10, after they can read Quran with reasonable fluency. However, some children are ready a little earlier or later. In the trial class, we look at reading level, attention span, and comfort to advise if it is the right time to begin Hifz or continue with recitation first.
How is revision structured?
Every Hifz class includes three parts: quick review of the last few lessons, reading of the new portion, and periodic testing of older sections without looking. Tutors also share a simple home revision plan so parents know what to listen to between classes.
Can students switch from recitation to Hifz?
Yes. Many students in Spain begin with recitation classes and then move into Hifz when their reading and focus are strong enough. We can gradually shift class time from recitation to memorization so the change feels smooth and comfortable.
